I have had a lumpectomy x2 in the same breast where the nipple has been cut and now it’s ‘sunk’ with skin hanging over plus the breast is a lot smaller would I be entitled to an operation to make it look more ‘normal’?
Hi Sumner, I'm assuming you're still having regular follow-ups? I would mention it at your next appointment, or if that means waiting a long time, ask to make one sooner. I asked about having lipofilling after my lumpectomy, and funding was initially refused by my health authority but my consultant said I was entitled to it because I was still in the cancer pathway. Go for it, you want it to look right after all you've been through.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
