Morning all

Just been reading the latest posts and pleased to hear you're all taking care of yourselves.  I must admit I had forgotten that the Macmillan centres were seeing patients again for therapies. My shoulders suffered through radiotherapy so I may see if I can have a Indian Head massage.  I didn't know that back massage wasn't recommend, I doubt I could lay on my front at the moment anyway.

I'm nearly 2 weeks post rads and becoming more sore, there's a real tightness despite constantly moisturising. All part of the process I'm sure.

Have a great week everyone. Blush

Hi Pixdee welcome to the forum and sorry that you have not had a  response as yet.

I had heard that some of the Macmillan Centers were starting to see people but I think it varies hugely across the country so worth checking out your own area first.

I hadnt realised that the Radiotherapy kept working for some time after treatment had finished, so I imagine that's the tightness that you are feeling,  but keep an eye on the skin as it can break very easily  but if that happens do see the Nurse at your surgery as they will help, at least mine did when mine broke down.

Sending  very best wishes your way for now. xxxxx

  • Hi Gail

Thanks for your message.  I have six weeks of reflexology booked and I'm on the wait list for acupuncture. I can't wait!  I'm attending a 2 day course on coping with fatigue tomorrow, it'll be interesting to hear what they advise.

My centre also rung Pilates and Tai Chi which I would love to do again.  I used to go regularly before lockdown but I feel now I need to know what to do that doesn't hurt, especially in Pilates, there's so much I can't do just yet.

Hoping you're having a great weekend.

    Best wishes

    Dee x
