Any positive experiences ?
A simple yes or no would suffice. So far no-one has bothered to reply to my more detailed posts on my real cancer problems.
Hello!
I had a mastectomy with implant reconstruction on April 14th (so I guess early days still)
So far it’s been a positive experience. I have had no pain or needed any pain relief since coming round in the recovery suite. I’m 43 and a 34B and not withstanding the healing and swelling from surgery, they’ve done a great job matching me up!
They put the implant under my pec muscles. I am very active and discussed lots of options before deciding on implant.
Hope that helps?
PS I had a considerably large area of DCIS
Hi Venicelagoon
I had a bilateral mastectomy mid January with immediate reconstruction with implants. I'm now just over 3 months down the line and luckily I've had no issues. I do have some 'rippling ' of the implants but this cannot be seen in a bra.
Take care xx
I had the removal of my implants in 2017, and I'm happy with the result. I'm very much thankful to my surgeon. It is recommended that the implants should be changed every 10-15 years after the breast augmentation surgery. But I had removed it because I felt sleeping disturbances, fatigue and hair loss. The procedures are different for different ages, so better, you should consult a top-class surgeon to avoid complications.
