.I've been on letrozole for 12 months and sometimes have brain  fog. Just wondering if anyone else experiences this.

I will be looking for something in a cupboard and cannot physically see it. Will sometimes eventually find it and it will be right in front of me.  Last night my husband found .what I was looking for after me looking there twice.

Not sure it's the pills or just getting old  I'm 57

Would love to hear from anyone who maybe is going through something similar. Have a telephone appointment with my consultant next week and didn't know whether mention this to him.

  • Hi Booby J

I have just come across your post in the unanswered section of the site, I am sorry this seems to have been missed! I do not have any answers for you, but hope that you did mention this to your consultant and that things are a little better for you now.

    Hi

I'm on Letrozole too!  I've only been on it for a few weeks but I had Tamoxifen and Anastrozole years ago for similar issue.

Yes, there are a number of side effects with these type of medication.  Foggy brain, forgetfulness are well known, unfortunately.  However, I can't see you as 'old' at only 57 yrs, when I'm 70, going on 90 they way I feel some days  ;)

I think I've been 'scatty' for several years now, which could be an 'age' thing but also it has got worse since taking the Letrozole, I have to say.  It's annoying but I just try to laugh at it, if I'm in the mood  LOL  My friends know me to be 'scatty' in one way or another for a long time so just accept it now.  They appreciate the drugs make it worse, tho.

I can certainly sympathise with you.  Maybe things will improve once you finish taking them?

Wishing you all the best re your recovery :)
