Hi to everyone ,
I am new here, I get my biopsy results on Monday and I'm worried about what they will say to me. My mind is all over the place, can anyone advise what questions I should be asking. I've already been told surgery will be necessary but that's all , thanks for being here
Hi there
im a newbie too, I get my biopsy results on weds but have already been told it looks like cancer.
I’m terrified. They took a lymph node biopsy at the same time as the breast ones. Surely not a good sign.
in answer to your question I noticed that there’s a section on this site - Questions to Ask - in breast cancer section that I was planning to use. Sorry I can’t remember where it is now.
happy to keep in touch xx
Hi,
Its good to hear from someone who is at the same point as myself. I had two biopsies also, and although I have no results yet, I cant help fearing what tomorrow may bring. I'd really like to keep in touch and maybe we can support each other through this. X
Would love to kept in touch.
will be thinking of you tomorrow, let me know how you get on. Everyone says this is the hardest part, waiting for results and treatment plan.
I honestly don’t know how I’m getting through the days, I just am somehow, so scared.
xx
Yes, the closer it gets the more anxious I am getting, hang in there I'll let you know how things go for me. I will be thinking of you too. Anytime you want to chat I'll be here xx
Thank you!
it sounds as if they told you quite a bit prior to the biopsies? They just said to me there was an area that was highly suspicious of cancer, I think it’s quite big - about 5cm and they put a couple of markers in when they did the biopsies.
I’m 47, married with two lovely daughters aged 13 and 11.
xx
I don't know much more than you, but a good friend of mine has had breast cancer and she has been very helpful. The best advise she gave me is not to google everything, it sends my brain into overdrive. Just one day at a time (easier said than done) is her motto.
I am divorced but have a partner, don't think he knows what to say sometimes. I also have 1 grown up daughter, and lastly a doggy. I'm going to be 62 next weekend. Xx
Wise words indeed but as you say easier said than done.
Hang on in there xx
Well here goes, spoken to my specialist nurse and surgeon today, stage 1 cancer diagnosed. Booked to go in for surgery 11th March to have lump and lymph nodes removed. If tests results are good, it will then be a course of radiotherapy. Can't believe I'm writing this, 4 weeks ago life was normal!!
Hi everyone I was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer on 22nd Dec I had a lumpectomy and some lymph nodes taken for biopsy. No cancer cells found in lymph nodes and hopefully removed cancer from breast. I start my chemo on 5th march as well as herceptin injections. Nobody tells you about the hair loss side effects or wigs or anything until the day before I'm due to start chemo which gives me NO time to prep for hairloss. I've decided to shave my hair off to donate to the children's charity that make wigs for the children before my chemo starts.. How do I go about this process? Also who do I speak to about getting a wig etc please x
