So after a severe adverse allergic reaction to Paclitaxel last week for my first chemo session, I am now having Nab Paclitaxel.
Has anyone else had this?
Hi JanG20
I'm sorry to hear that you had a severe adverse allergic reaction last week and it's natural to want to know how others have got on with Nab-Paclitaxel. Although I can't answer that question if you type 'nab paclitaxel' into the search bar in the group you'll find plenty of previous posts on that subject which you could have a look through.
I've found this Macmillan information on nab-paclitaxel which tells you, amongst other things, how it's given and the possible side effects.
I hope everything goes well for you.

Hi!
I had 2 severe reactions to docetaxel and then got swapped to nab paclitaxel. Best reaction I’ve ever had Because I found nab pac to be an absolute doddle! Bit tired on day 2 and it did add a little to my peripheral neuropathy but honestly I felt fine! Also don’t know about you but the GCSF injections made me sooo poorly, but with nab pac I didn’t have to have them! Not sure what your consultant told you, but mine said he had to apply for funding for it as it’s not funded on nhs! Nurses and my breastsurgeon said it’s expensive and good stuff, like the upgrade to doc/pac! Every cloud hey
