When I have my breast off, which will be ALL of it, what reconstruction can I have? Can anything be done to make a nipple? I'm frightened to google so if anyone has had this and can advise me I would be so grateful.
I had a single mastectomy on 5th January with reconstruction in the form of an implant and am recovering well. Like you I didn't want to google anything beforehand ... I have lost my nipple but it doesn't look as bad as I thought it would. I am now wearing crop tops (can't imagine wearing bras for a while yet!!) and you can't tell that I have an implant. I only have small boobs - so was told that they won't be a matching pair in future but I think with clever underwear I will be able to wear what I like. Good luck with everything. x
