You will most likely be asked to strip and put on a hospital gown to go into the Scanner the Scanner is like a big doughnut and you lie on a trolley bed which slides into the machine and it is open at both ends. I imagine it can take up to 20-30 minutes but maybe less.
The scan forms part of the treatment pathway for you so it shouldn't delay surgery but rather give them a bigger picture of your Cancer if that makes sense..
I’ve had many ct scans. I’ve always just wear ordinary clothes. The only thing they check is that you don’t have a wired bra on. The scan is normally about 5 mins but the prep and resting afterwards takes it to about 20 mins. Each health board must have their own method.
