Hi All, Hope you are all doing ok or at least as well as you can. I had my follow up meeting with my consultant yesterday where he told me that along with my mastectomy he also removed 35 lymph nodes as they were shown to have cancer in them. He said that this is a high amount and because of this he wants me to have a scan to see if the cancer has gone anywhere else. I just wondered if anyone else had had this amount removed as I'm now worrying that it's unusual and wondering what it means. Thanks for any feedback x
Hi Lolly P
I had lumpectomy and full node clearence end of 2019. 24 nodes out and cancer was in 19 of them. I did have scans before all the surgery then chemo and radiotherapy. Now on letrozole for 10 years.

Hi Lolly P I had 29 nodes removed and only 1 was affected. I’ve still got swelling in my armpit but I’m happy to be cancer free
Hi, thanks for replying. Glad you are now cancer free. Did you have chemo and radiotherapy too? How long did all your treatment last?
