Hello everyone, I am new here.

Been diagnosed with IDC 20mm with DCIS ER/PR +, HER 2 2+ but confirmed with FISH test Negative, Grade 2,stage T1cNOMO.

I had lumpectomy and STNB on 19/2/25, 2 nodes were removed everything came out clear, NPI 3.4.
On MDT report stated all of this plus plan for RT and ET.

My concern is I could not see if I had Oncotype DX test, it seems regarding the results so far I am qualified for it. I really want to do that test as it will clear if a need chemo. If is ordered is it possible the results to come out later after post operative MDT meeting? Also I am worried if I do not have that test something will be missed. Is it possible the initial treatment plan to change after the appointment with oncologist?

Is anyone at the same situation?

My first appointment with oncologist will be on 18th of March hopefully they will clarify all of my concerns as I am really anxious.

Thank you

  • Hello and welcome .

Ask your BCN but I think possibly no Oncotype because of your results .

i had ILC grade 2 20mm node negative , HER2-. I think my NPI was same as yours .

On NHS criteria , I didn’t qualify for Oncotype . was told classed as low risk .

chemo is risk v benefit and because of your results , it’s highly unlikely they would put you through chemo .

I had my treatment under BUPA , so they paid for my Oncotype . It came back as no chemo .

  • Thank you for your reply!
    I will ask them.
Just because I saw on the brochure they gave me it is usually recommended for early stages with and without nodes involvement.
I don’t have private health insurance so if I want it have to pay myself and it is quite expensive when I checked. I know chemo is the worse thing but I can not stop thinking about recurrence if something is missed.
    Thanks again.

  • I thought it was standard with negative nodes but the medical oncologist said no Cry. They quoited NPI .

Thats why I wanted to know too .

    Good luck x
