Hi, newbie here. Recently diagnosed with breast cancer for the 2nd time. First being September 2016. My very first mammogram. DCIS in one breast. 2 operations & 15 sessions of radiotherapy. Given the all clear after 5 years. Unfortunately, it's come back in the same breast, but is now invasive . I will have a mastectomy and i have decided to have the expandable implant at the same time. As I've already had radiotherapy, I can't have it again, which is why my consultant said the expandable implant. The other option is no reconstruction. Depending on tests results after the breast removal, I may or may not need chemotherapy. The operation isn't until September, as one of our daughters is getting married in Italy. I'm on Letrozol, so my consultant is happy to leave it till then. Has anyone gone for this option & how do you feel about it now? Thank you
