Good evening. I was told today that I have breast cancer. I hadn't really thought the lump I had found was anything serious, probably a cyst or blocked milk duct or something. So, it hasn't sunk in yet. I have known people with various cancers and from them have heard about Macmillan. I figured this would be a good place to start looking for information and support.
Hi cazanne,
Welcome to the forum. It is difficult when you find out and they say the C word.
It takes time to process, there are lots of good supports out there. Macmillan nurses, cancer care and Maggies this forum is good for people's experiences and knowledge. I find it useful.
Once you know type etc and have a treatment plan it all becomes more real.
I wish you well in your treatment and recovery. Feel free to ask questions that may help you.
Good luck xx
Thank you so much Mixxymolly, your reply is much appreciated.
Hi cazanne,
Don't worry we all make typo errors especially with predictive text.
How are you feeling/doing today. I hope you are being kind to yourself.
Sending hugs xx
