Hi im new here, been lurking for a couple of weeks but didnt know what to say. So firstly a bit about me. Im Scottish and living in Merseyside, 69 years old, married with 4 adult offspring. I have 3 grandchildren and 2 great grandsons.
Now my cancer. I had a mammogram in september and got a letter telling me i had an appointment at our local breast clinic for further investigations. I attended and had scans and biopsies carried out. Scans showed masses in my left breast and several swollen underarm lymph nodes.
2 weeks later i had an appointment with a consultant who confirmed that i did indeed have a cancer which is her positive and oestrogen positive.
I am now at the stage that on Tuesday i will have my first treatment of Paclitaxel (weekly infusion) and Phesgo (3 weekly injection).
How am i feeling, truthfully Im terrified. I do have family support thank you whoever invented face timing as we are scattered. I am doing the "being strong" thing as thats who i am but inside im crying and screaming. I have faith that the cancer will be beaten but that doesn't stop my fears
Anyway thats me. Any questions feel free to ask.

I dont know yet how many cycles i am to have and there is another drug they plan to add however due to a prior heart issue they are being cautious. My hair is waist length and im dreading losing it however i am fortunate that i have a son who styles wigs for drag queens, which he has been for over 25 years, he is himself a hairdresser and professional drag queen, so thankful for that. I have been told, by the team, that my meds will ( not might) cause hair loss but i will take that over cancer any day
