Hi I’m new here

I was diagnosed with breast cancer in July and have had 4 surgeries, lumpectomy and sentinel removal, further lymph gland removal as the sentinel was cancerous and then I had 2 weeks of excruciating pain from the guild drain with resulted in me having a blood clot removed from the surgeries site. Meanwhile I was diagnosed with  olin cancer and had a section of my colon revived along right the tumour. I’m now awaiting an appointment with my oncologist for the treatment plan, I’ve had to come off of HRT and go on Letrazole. I’m aching, I have joint pain, restless legs, low mood, tiredness and currently off work awaiting an occupational health assessment to phase a work return, I have to for financial readings and my mental health. i feel so alone and lack motivation. Even household chores seem too much for me, is this usual?

Welcome to the forum and I am sorry to hear that you have been diagnosed with breast cancer and colon cancer.  What you are feeling is perfectly normal and understandable bad enough to be diagnosed with one type of cancer let alone two. Things should start to feel clearer once you have your treatment plan.  If you feel up to it why not contact the Macmillan helpline on 0808 808 00 00 to talk to someone about how you are feeling and they'll be able to arrange counselling for you if you wish and can even offer you financial advice should you need it.

Also if you have a Maggie's or another cancer centre near you why not call in and have a chat with someone there, they'll only be too happy to help.

Wishing you the best of luck with whatever other treatment your oncologist comes up with.

    Best wishes
