Breast cancer again

Hi, this is my first post.
I had breast cancer 13 years ago. I had a lumpectomy, chemotherapy and radiotherapy. I was supposed to take tamoxifen after for 2 years but could only manage 6 months.
The second lot of chemo led to premature menopause. For the past 9 months I’ve had mammograms , biopsies and an MRT scan. They keep coming back as inconclusive. I had biopsies on both breasts yesterday. The doctor did a scan of both first.
she said the left one (the original cancer one) had 2 lumps which looked very concerning. The right one was still showing shadows but no lumps.
My question is about the left one. The dressing is so low down that half of it is on my rib cage. Could that mean that if it’s cancer that it’s in my blood steam/ rest of my body?
I did have lymph nodes removed last time. I’ve got no recollection about stages/ grades. My daughter was 7 and when I got the all clear I just wanted to forget it ever happened.     Thank you for reading.

  • Hello there,

It sounds as if you're having a horrible time you poor thing and waiting for results of tests and investigations is particularly horrible I know.

I am unable to ask your question regarding the position of your biopsy dressing and the possibility of spread to the rest of your body but I think you need to contact your breast care nurse with your concerns. They will know what you have had done to date, the location of the biopsies  and more idea of what is happening moving forward.

I am wishing you all the very best and sending lots of love and  virtual hugs.
