Hi all,
Since starting Anastrozole I have developed pains in my hands, mainly at night, pins and needles and my hands feel really tight and painful and I struggle to clench a fist...
Has anyone else experienced this?? It does get better as the day goes on but it is waking me in the night...
Hi Lisa M
I have been taking Letrozole for 8 months.I have hand pain that wakes me at night and often struggle to open my hand in the morning. The pain gets better as the day continues but my middle finger remains painful on and off. I have read that these issues can be side effects of all of the aromotase inhibitors.
Best wishes
L
Hi, sorry you are suffering side effects of Anastrozole. Yes I have experienced those and more side effects so much so I’m of them at the minute. There’s an interesting article in the daily telegraph that they are suggesting using it for those with 2 or more family members having breast cancer. They mention weighing up the risk of getting breast cancer and the side effects. It also said the side effects should go after a year. I was on it 5 months and off it 6 months waiting on ct scan results.
