I have metastatic Brest cancer in liver kidneys and now brain . I have completed 10 rounds of whole brain radiotherapy and felt muted but not as I’ll as I thought. But then… two weeks ago I had an awful series of breathing episoides and ended up in resus and my girls being told to prepare for the worst!!! I had v large blood clots in my lungs and possible heart damage. After over a week in hospital and having reduced oxygen daily I’m now home. Apparently cancer is sticky and this happens so why don’t they give you blood thinners at the beginning
I have numerous issues with my oncology care and referral time but the hospital were amazing. Unfortunately just too many teams involved now
oh my gosh, glad you are recovering and home, i do wonder sometimes why the preventative drugs etc arent given first before complications arise.
glad they got you back on track. so scary
mine is minimal in comparison, having neuropathy from paclitaxel, but had to ask for help, now take gabapentin, hoping it helps
sending good thoughts, and this is your episode (everyone had oneit seems) and things go more smoothly from now on. hugs
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
