Hello all, I was diagnosed in Nov 2021,stage 3 breast cancer, CT scan showed up tumour on my lung, was put on letrozole to shrink the breast/lym6cancer and got the tumor removed Feb 2022,not cancer. Cancer had shrunk to stage 2 had it and all lymph removed June 2022,then chemo, Radio which all got finished in Feb 2023 I've got hair now yahoo. I worked all through my treatment but the pain in my left side under my arm and at the scar sights is excruciating, I was given Gavapectin but it's not hitting the mark, the pain can take my breath away at times, burning, pins and needles on my toes and general stiffness and aching. What pain management has other people been given, thank
I hope that you manage to get better pain relief with your gabapentin increase. You are allowed to have a wee moan hun. I am sitting here having a terrible flush because of Letrozole. I am so glad that we are starting to have some cooler weather. It was awful the past couple of weeks trying to stay cool and dealing with the pain too. Cuffcake2000 thanks for all your tips and ideas in how to help with the neuropathy. It helps to know that you are not alone and know that there are others that are going through the same kind of aches and pains. Big hugs Jxxx
Hi
I was prescribed Versatis Lidocaine patches for radiotherapy nerve damage over my ribs. They are the only thing that worked. Probably not helpful for toes but the scar areas might be worth a try. My Dr says they can't prescribe them but Hospital should be able to.
Hope something gets sorted for you soon.

I’m sorry that the gabapentin isn’t working for you. I found it effective after a few days in reducing that horrible burning sensation I felt like I had extreme sunburn in my armpit and was carrying a bunch of nettles in there, it really was horrible and most debilitating when moving. I took 900 mg a day over three doses. They did say that if this wasn’t effective there were alternatives. I hope you find something soon.
Hi everyone this is my first post, I am also on letrozole, like everyone that has posted here I get very tired, pins and needles in hands and feet, knees ache as does my lower back. I have lymphodema in my left breast after the op, two lymph nodes removed together with small tumour in my breast. I am starting some laser treatment on Monday, don't know what to expect but it is supposed to help with lymphatic drainage. Has anyone e else been offered this treatment?
Thank you to everyone for there kind words. Let's hope this helps, it does make me a bit fuzzy head and stumble quite a lot but I will just have to time when I take them so I can still drive to work. I start at 6:30 in the morning-I am a head chef in a private school so I will take my first tablet at work and the second dose when I get home to be on the safe side. Thanks again to all and good luck, cancer is a pain in the a**e but hiho off to live life we go
Hello Berniechef, I've tried to look up Deracool but can't find any reference to it. Can you advise?
