B3 lesion of uncertain origin at core biopsy

Hi all,

I’ve had a core biopsy which told was B3 or, from google,  of uncertain malignant potential and needed further tests.  Had a vacuum assisted needle biopsy of the 7mm area and at the same time they’ve removed it all last week, just waiting on result.   I’m finding the waiting really tough.   Has anyone been in a similar boat recently?  What was your diagnosis and treatment after initial B3 legion at core biopsy please?

  • Hi 54321

Welcome to the forum and sorry to hear that you have been diagnosed with breast cancer. While I don’t have an answer for you I noticed that you haven’t had any answers yet so I thought I’d reply to you to give you a warm welcome to the community. This reply should move you to the top of the discussion.

One thing I would warn you about is not to google your diagnosis as the information on google is usually out of date. Just rely on sites like this one and Breast Cancer now for your information.

The waiting for results is the worst thing about this journey but once you know what’s ahead of you things should get a lot easier for you.

Wishing you the best of luck with your results.

    Best wishes

  • Hi, I am in the same position, waiting for vacuum assisted excision results right now and struggling with the wait. I know you posted this 5 months ago and I don't even know if you'll see this message but but I was wondering what happened?
