Hi,
I am posting this on behalf my mum.
She is 55 & has just been diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer, although the lump has been removed and she is awaiting chemo the stats online for this particular cancer returning seems higher than some of the other breast cancers which is terrifying her.
Is there anyone else out there with triple negative breast cancer?
Or anyone who has recovered and surpassed the 5 years?
Hope to hear from you soon.
awww ochno thats good isn't it that biopsies can be wrong ..if not 3 neg does that mean u can have hormone treatment.
and wat is prosigna testing . yes I will try to get a GP app come Monday. but im hoping it may settle down over weekend . seems good wen im dropping of sleep wen watching TV. hhhhh
Saturday night telly dire…it’s enough to make anyone sleep!
Hormone now a possibility for me…he says he could do it at the same time as radiotherapy…my fingers crossed it’s not chemo but if that is what it takes I’ll go for it.
Prosigna is a test that determines risk of reoccurrence, that’ll decide which treatment he recommends.
Hi there, how are you now? Seroma resolved I hope and feeling a bit more comfortable xx
Hya ...sadly anything but comfortable. you know all this week so much running bk n forth for treatments. another seroma came straight after the 1st 1 drained. had it drained Wednesday. in the meantime I've got a sore shoulder blade on right side and lumpectomy site cut not healed. looked under plaster and quickly put it back .
all ready for consultant app this afternoon.
After it ill post .
maryoma. x
oh there's 1 positive....theyve increased codo from 15 mg to 30mg delivery today .
Aw bless you, it’s been a bit of a nightmare for you. Hopefully your appointment today goes well. In the meantime, keep your chin up and keep taking the tablets x
hhhh yes have u strtd ur treatment yet.
Not yet, next oncology appointment on the 24th, he’ll tell me then what they recommend and then it’ll be scheduled after that. Realistically I think early March…phew such a long wait x
hya Ochno.
Well wat can I say
appointment with consultant was going ok until she dropped a bombshell info.
apparently not enough tissue to accertain clear margins and she wants to as she put it " go in again " I said no straight out . then came another they found cancer in nodes and pronounced there and then 6mnths chemo then radio.
this was all too much to take in so im booking an app with consultant for this week sometime .
ughhhhh was not the outcome that I was expecting. maryoma.
Oh Maryoma, definitely not the news you wanted to hear. What a time you’ve had of it, cancer the gift that keeps on giving! I agree such a lot of info to take in all at once, especially when it’s news you so don’t want to receive. Are you seeing the same consultant again?
