Hi everyone

on Thursday I was diagnosed with grade 3 triple negative breast cancer. They gave me lots of information which I’m slowly starting to take in.

I’m 38 and have 4 girls so really scared and worried what is to come.Having clip fitted Tuesday and meeting oncologist on 10th.

Looking for anyone else with experience and what I have in store for me

thank you

  • Hi Munchiesmum; I'm sorry you've had a cancer diagnosis, and it is understandable that you're scared.  You may not believe me when I say that the waiting between diagnosis and treatment is one of the worst parts of the whole thing - once you have a plan in place and things start to happen you'll feel much more in control.

    Best wishes for your treatment.

  • Hi . Another here with grade 3 TNBC. It sounds like you may be having chemo first. Although I had surgery first, I am having chemo now, getting towards the end. I have been writing a blog of my experiences which I hope can help others. community.macmillan.org.uk/.../a-trip-with-triple-negative-breast-cancer

  • Hi,

I’m sorry you find yourself here. I have grade 3 TNBC, I have completed 6 months of Chemo, and am due my lumpectomy next week. Of all the treatment the operation is the bit that has scared me the most. Don’t be afraid of Chemo, it is doable and I am told I have had a complete response but this will be confirmed either the histology report after the tissue is removed.

Please please for your sanity stay off Google. There is too much outdated information on there and everyone’s journey is their own. Stay positive and take it one day at a time.
