Hello, I am Alana and have been diagnosed a few months back with metastasises in my lung. After the initial shock that the breast cancer had returned I am now receiving treatment. Injections and and Ibrance 75mg tablets in a 4 weekly cycle. I do try to be positive but at times it does get you down and you wish you had somebody with the same experience to chat to.

  • Hi Alana01

Welcome to the forum and sorry to hear that your breast cancer has returned and that you have metastasises in your lung.  There is a secondary breast cancer forum that you can join to get support from others like yourself.  The following is the link: Secondary breast cancer forum.  There is also an incurables forum you can join if you wish.  The following is the link to that forum: Living with incurable cancer forum - patients only.

    Hope this helps.

    Best wishes

  • Hi Alana01

Same as yourself I have metastasis cancer after breast cancer 2013 . Was on tamoxifen till last October when I found a lump in my armpit and now to find out it’s spread to lung and bone.

im also on the the fulvestrant injections monthly and now also on ibrance 75mg after been reduced from 125mg at the start but bloods took to long to come back and would miss serval wks or ibrance.
how are you finding the treatments I’m also on Zometa every 3 months for bones.  I have CT scans every 3 month and so far they have been very positive with the treatment to date..

I look after 3children and just since July have been back to them and finding I’m very tired at the end off day but this is my new normal so trying to figure it out as I go along.  I have great family and friends support that keep me positive and try not to see the “glass half empty “

I’m 54 yr and live in Ireland. I hope you have Good support to keep you positive during this diagnosis..

chat here anytime it’s nice ti find some one on the same treatment to compare with and help each other x
