I’m just feeling anxious that I’m going in for more surgery tomorrow. I’m having my mastectomy scar reopened and cancer recurrences removed and more tissue along the scar removed and sent to pathology.. Just finished doxerubin chemo and so glad to get that finished. I just feel that I have accepted my mastectomy scar and now I’m going back to square one…plus the dreaded drain. Am asking myself is there any end to this journey. It’s so hard keeping yourself positive and upbeat all the time. Just needed to put it down in writing knowing that others on here will feel my anxiousness.
Thank you so much, how did I not know this and as you say why is this not talked about more? I now have a new mission to share this far and wide
Thankyou! How interesting! I will try my best to turn my anxiety into excitement! I know I don’t have a choice but today I just struggled with the thought of all to come again. It’s only 8 months since my mastectomy!! Anyhow I am excited that tomorrow it will be one more day in the road to recovery! Thankyou for this. ️

No, seriously, I hope the operation went well for you all - keep us updated on how you are.
Sending love and hugs xxx
Haha! I did try that and I’m gonna admit it helped!! I was obviously anxious but not too bad! Surgery went well and surgeon was pleased. Just had drain in for one night which was good! Got home yesterday. I feel really good considering. Just have to wait for pathology results now! So hopefully all good. Surgeon took away about 2cms each side of my scar and that will be tested. He also then took margins around the newest bit of recurrence. I’m glad to get it over. Thankyou for good wishes. Xxx

Hello Whitestar,
I do think it helps I really do, it has helped me on a fair few occasions - doing this seems also seems to settle/ease my tummy.
It sounds like you are doing really well - remember no matter how good you are feeling - make sure you 'rest' - you and your body have gone through a major operation (I didn't realise this until told on here) - so take time to recover, rest, rest, rest..... but ..... gently do your arm exercises (hahaha) xxxx
