HI everyone
February 10 was diagnosed with stage 2 invasive DC, ER+ PR+ HER2+.
Shocked, scared and wish this wasn't happening to me. Having lumpectomy surgery in few weeks.
Just found out am HER2+ so will need chemotherapy. This is what scares me the most, especially all the side effects.
However, feel lucky to have a treatment plan in the wonderful NHS.
Hope everyone else is coping OK today.
I am so glad you are all here! I’m waiting to hear about chemo and am scared too. Reading your messages really helps. Thank you x
No date yet. Last Monday they said 3 to 4 weeks. Having ECHO heart scan Monday 7th March prior to starting x
Hey Rhubarb thanks for your reply. It's really good to talk to folk who are going through it,and especially finding it manageable and having good days (wow!).
Lumpectomy booked for 4th April so got a little wait but nurse reassured me that will be OK. So the chemo will start after that.
Hope you get on OK with the next one x
April will be here before you know it!! I had never had an operation so was pretty nervous but it all went fine.
My chemo started exactly a month after lumpectomy I am fortunate to be private (only because I work for AXA) not because I'm rich...lol so all been very quick. But going by others NHS is pretty rapid too.
I'm all geared up for chemo and interested to see if side effects are the same as 1st cycle, only time will tell..♀️
Ah hope you get on OK. So good talking to you and everyone on here-makes me feel less alone and scared x
