Hi
diagnosed with grade 3 triple negative in August. 8 sessions of chemo before double mastectomy in the new year. Petrified. Anyone the same?

Well, as it happens, tomorrow is the 1st anniversary of getting my diagnosis. Not sure it's a cause for celebaration, but I do have a sense of occasion, haha.
I am exactly the same but further along the journey did chemo then bilateral mastectomy followed by radiotherapy now on oral chemo. All I can say is allow your self good days and allow the bad days , I never thought I was going to make it every consultation had bad news but I have done it.
if helps to know the operation isn’t bad just make sure you get good follow up immediately after surgery
Hi apart from the travelling everyday the radiotherapy was easy invest in some udder cream to stop any radiation burns. The staff are lovely and the actual treatment only takes 10 minutes
I chose to stay flat with no reconstruction for at least a year, my reasoning is tnbc is aggressive and often reaccurs so I want to be able to spot it and reconstruction may hamper this. If I am clear for a after a year I may consider implants. To be honest with you I don’t mind the flat look I dress to flatter it. One massive advantage is I no longer have back ache.
I should also add taking each step then moving onto the next is the easiest way don’t look too far ahead as it can seem daunting.
