Hi, had my mastectomy and axillary clearance this morning. Got home about 7pm. All went as it should and not in too much discomfort. Not much dressing on wound so braved it and looked down. Few more tests to go which I am dreading then back to see consultant on 4th Nov for results xx
Hi, not too bad to be honest. Had bone scan yesterday and CT scan this Friday. Still have drain in. Not had any significant pain so far, just some discomfort. It has been difficulty trying to find a comfy position to sleep in as always sleep on my side but can't do that at the moment but am managing to get some rest.
Thank you for thinking about me xx
I got my mastectomy date 9 Nov. So, I think I feel much better. I think the milestone is when you have your drain out and your dressing removed. I don't underestimate discomfort, it can so make your day rotten but I know you have the strength to take it in your stride...and you will see progress a bit each day. Like u I also sleep on the side. So not sure how I would feel come my turn. Its good you're resting ..that is key!
Happy for chats whenever u feel like. Take care luv
