Male Brest cancer. Was diagnosed and treated back in 2013 but recently diagnosed with stage 4 in my liver lungs and pelvis. Any one else here in the same boat ?
Just wanted to say hi, what totally crap news for you. Sorry you find yourself here but welcome. Personally I am not in that position but I do have a chemo friend who has stage 4 in her spine and liver, she is having 3 weekly treatments and coping very well, working, and I hate it when people say this but in her case it’s true, you’d not know to look at her. I hope you have good support around you. Do you have your treatment plan as yet?
She had an initial repeat of 6 cycles of chemo ECT, then onto herceptin and perjeta which she has recently had 70 cycles of amazingly, every 3 weeks, obviously it was a milestone so we discussed it. She was heading straight back to work, she does a mix of home and office. I saw her last week and she said she was feeling good, she’d been surprised how hard she’d been hit by recent bad news stories in the press but has managed to bring her mind back to this is her condition and her cancer is currently being controlled well and she’s as well as can be expected. She’s 40 so very young for this to happen. Have you started your plan yet? X
