Very stressed waiting for treatment to start.....it's probably spreading all the time

  • Hi Joanne369

Sorry to be meeting you in the club that none of us would have wanted to join. However, you have come to the best place to get support from people who have gone through the same as you are going through now.

Do you know what treatment you will be having and have you got a timeframe yet?

Big hugs. You can do this.

    All the best

  • Hi Joanne369 what a frightening time for you, so sorry, waiting is always the hardest, once you have your treatment plan you have something to focus on and start feeling like you have some control, you are not alone we have all been where you are now.  This site is full of amazing woman who will help you over the next few months and before you know it, you will be one of them supporting scared women who have been recently diagnosed.  Keep posting, love from Ann

  • Your clinic will be aware of the sort of cancer you have, how fast it grows etc Most cancers don’t grow that fast, even the fastest growing types, but even so they won’t make you wait a dangerous amount of time.

on the other hand, the waiting is horrible. I’ve got to wait another six weeks for my right breast mastectomy, as I have to recover from the left side surgery first, plus a chest infection. I know it’s safe because I trust my surgeon but waiting is still stressful

  • Hi Joanne369

Welcome to the forum and sorry to hear that you have been diagnosed with Breast Cancer. Waiting for treatment to start can be a stressful time but once you start things should be easier as you will be fighting back against the cancer.

Wishing you the best of luck with your treatment when you start it.

    Best wishes

  • Hey Jo

Sorry that you found yourself here. Trust me when I say waiting is sheer agony and no one here understands it more! Your mind plays so many tricks on you too.

You're probably at the stage where they push you from one appointment to another and plenty if info shoved under your nose, while you come to terms in disbelief you have BC. The trauma is unbearable.

Know that we are here for you? If you let us know how you get on, we can try to help make sense of it all....keep talking

    Sending you big hugs
