Hi everyone I’m new to the group and would just like to say hello and how brave you all are

I have been taking hormone therapy drugs Anastrozole for 2 months now I have to take these for 5 yrs in total but the joint pain is terrible, had a bone scan yesterday to see what’s going on any one else suffered with same.

Hi Boobee and sorry you are having so much joint pain. I have come across a few posts on here where ladies have complained of this as well as other side effects. If you put Anastrozole in the search bar and hit enter you will be able to find these posts.

Some people find that changing brands helps with the side effects and others find that over time things improve. I'm on tamoxifen and was told by my oncologist that if I experienced any side effects they should slowly improve over the course of 6 months. I know 6 months sounds like a long time but at least it's some light at the end of the tunnel.

Do tell your medical team about how bad the pain is though as they can probably prescribe something that will help lessen the pain.
