Hi everyone. Please tell me what you know and what treatment you are getting for secondary breast cancer in your back. I get my diagnosis on Friday but my gp says the mri shows three secondary lesions at the base of my spine.
I had grade 1 lump 7 years ago. Chemo and lymph removal. I feel sick with dread. I'm sorry to put this on when you are all so positive but I feel really depressed xx
Thank you all in advance.
Katherine
Hello KatherineS
I am really sorry to hear that you have had bad news after 7 years in the clear. Waiting until Friday to get a diagnosis and treatment plan will be very difficult for you. I don't know what treatment you will be offered but I am sure that your BC care team will come up with the very best plan for you. There are quite a number of new drugs that I have read about which probably were not available seven years ago. Have you got family around to give you support? I will be thinking of you. Let us know how you get on
Big hugs.

I’m so sorry that you’re going through this. I personally am not but I have a chemo friend who is, her cancer spread to her liver and she is 40. She had 6 rounds of ECT chemo then ongoing herceptin and perjeta infusions, she’s up to 70 cycles I think now, works full time, looks really well ironically and still has a long prognosis. At this stage you don’t know what your treatment will be or what is viable but there are positive stories of people living well with breast cancer. I wish you so much luck for Friday, lots of love xx
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
