So finally, got my results , went in on my own as husband wasn’t feeling great but my daughters did a video call and my eldest in between my crying and laughing asked anything and everything , I need chemo x 6 then lump/s removed ( as there are two not one as I was led to believe )but I felt 100 % safe with the lovely nurse and surgeon
I am petrified as I’ve nursed in end of life care (Marie curie ) and on the NHS so I’m the worst kind of patient I’m sorry to say but they completely understood that I just want it sorted now . It’s treatable and I’m grateful for that
keeping my positive pants on , but I would like to know how others have got through their treatments etc
xx
Hi Flipflop59
Welcome to the forum and sorry to,hear that you have been diagnosed with breast cancer. I was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer last September and had 8 cycles of chemo, surgery and radiotherapy and I’m now in remission.
I had very few side effects from my treatment luckily. I got through by keeping myself busy doing the things that I love like reading and going for walks with my dog.
Wishing you the best of luck with your treatment.
Best wishes
