Hi Simba5…….I had surgery over 4 weeks ago, was advised to avoid getting wet for first weenurse came out couple of times during first week

Don’t know what happened then, reply went before I’d finished! Was going to say after drain had been removed ( 5 days after surgery, but I know it can differ ) I was told could remove steri rips as they came loose and final waterproof dressing at about 2 weeks……do you have anyone coming to check wound ares? x

Hi. Thanks for replying. I have spoken to the hospital and apparently the whole dressing will just dissolve over the next few weeks. I'm amazed! No have only had phone call from BCN and next appointment is consultant telephone call with results of biopsy! Feel a bit happier having spoken to the day surgery unit. The only way is up from here I guess.
