Hi, I had grade 2, DCIS, left sided cancer. Diagnosed Nov 2019, HER2+ and ER+. Lumpectomy, chemo, herceptin and radiotherapy concluded by the end of summer 2020. Now on the lovely Tamoxifen for 5 years.
I’ve slowly been getting back to normal, back at work, exercising, dealing with lymphedema... you know how it goes
Anyway this week I’ve found another lump. Same side but on my collarbone. I’m being sent for an urgent ultrasound. It’s probably nothing but the fear has come racing back. I don’t really know why I’m posting. I just needed to get it out of my head and I figured this is the place that people would understand without knowing me. Thanks for reading x
Oh that must be so worrying, but isn't it good you are getting it seen to quickly, that's the positive to take from it. A feiend if mine, when she wants to forget about something describes it as “I need to put those thoughts in a box in a high shelf for a few days” and I always smile and try to do the same. Best wishes x
Hi Kirk1 yes we certainly can understand your fear and are keeping our fingers crossed for you. Its dealing with the waiting so Im glad you have an urgent referral in. Hopefully it'll be something like the swollen nodes that happen after getting the coronovirus jab which medics are seeing more and more nowadays.
Take care and let us know how you get on xx
