Hello, I’m new here, I have recently had a ct scan which shown a small breast lump I’ve had my clinic appointment with mammogram and ultrasound I had a core biopsy in ultrasound on the lump but it was then discovered I have calcification is the same breast, I had to go back for a core biopsy under mammogram, the results came back as the lump is beign, which is great but the calcification is an area of concern so I’ve had to have a second biopsy but a vacuum biopsy under mammogram which is what I’m waiting for the results but I worried as the consultant radiologist that did the procedure told my to speak to my breast care nurse if I have any issues as in redness infection at the biopsy site, I haven’t got a breast care nurse and was under the impression you were only assigned a nurse when cancer is present
Hi Tracydav
I found a lump in my Breast last September and after a consult with a Breast Cancer surgeon I had a Mammogram, scan and a biopsy. The biopsy showed that I had Triple negative Breast Cancer and It was only then that I was assigned a Breast Care Nurse.
Best of luck with your results.
Best wishes
