Hi all, just wondering how everyone is doing, it's been just over 2 years since I had me left breast removed, I'm finding it a pain to remember to wear a prosthetic every day for work, but I feel I have to as I work in a primary school. Sorry just feeling a little low as only been at work for 3 weeks. X

  • Hi

I'm sorry to read that you're feeling low after returning to work.

I haven't been in the same situation as you but I noticed that your post hadn't had any replies yet. Replying to you will 'bump' your post back to the top of the discussion list.

You might also like to join the life after cancer group where you can discuss things like the physical and emotional after effects of cancer, returning to work, or trying to move on with your life. If this is something that you'd like to do then clicking on the link I've created will take you straight there where you can join and post in the same way as you did here.

    Hi,

i had mine removed in December and find it uncomfortable at times.  Will be going back to work in September when radiotherapy is finished.  I work in a secondary school so like you there is no way I could go without.

originally thought I would not bother with reconstruction but am now considering it as an option for next year.  Just wish it could all have been done at the same time.

3 weeks s not a long time in a new job give yourself chance to adjust to it and get used to the mental and physical aspect of been surrounded by little ones who always seem to have endless energy.

    hope everything goes ok.
