My mum lives in france and has breast cancer she's 82 so we are desperately trying to get her back here to the UK originally she was going to live at ours but don't know how much care she will need as she has also lost the use of her left arm due to the cancer damaging the nerves. We have got to bring her over by private ambulance but at a loss as to what to do about where she will stay as we are not equipped enough at my house to care for her as she will need a hospital bed and needs oxygen at night
Any help or advice would be hugely appreciated!!
I have just spoken to her and now her wee is really thick and dark brown this doesn't sound very good
Thanks Emma
Hi
I can't offer any advice on your situation, sorry but it may be worth calling the MacMillan helpline as it may be that your situation is not a common one...and on the latter point re urine she really needs to contact her doctor/hospital, I wouldn't want that unseen for any period of time tbh.
Good luck to you & your Mum
Sam
Have you contacted your GP or local Social Services? Sounds like your mum is going to need additional care wherever she is. Is your mum having active treatment now?
Maybe some of the nurses on here can answer your questions.
