Hi found out i have breast cancer this morning. Will know more on wed about type of cancer i have etc. Just wondering how people best deal with the anxiety and in ability to sleep!!

  • Hope everyone has a good day, good luck to everyone having any treatment or updates.

I've decided instead of being annoyed about waking up at silly o’clock if it’s light out I’m getting up and going for a longer dog walk. The demon dog is loving it, by the end of the week I might feel like kicking a tree but right now I’m feeling positive.

  • Good for you!   My insomnia always seems to be the middle of the night and I am fast asleep when the alarm goes!   Enjoy your walk and hope the sun is shining as an added bonus!

  • Hi ladies.

Just got home. Got a bit travel sick in the car, I do suffer from travel sickness but not usually on such a short journey.

    Pink pee.... Very strange. Lol

I have a mountain of pills and potions to take.

How is everyone else doing today?

Hopefully you've had plenty of rest and relaxation xx

    Hi there

I found the first one bit strange too. Until I got into the habit of what I have to take when so on ..do you have steroids to take for the next 2 days and injections for 7 ? You will see that you will get into a kind of routine . The pee is a weird one isn't it ? Drink lots and by tomorrow latest Friday should get back to normal colour .

Take it easy today and tomorrow, plenty of rest , drink loads xx

  • So good to hear your home and well. Definitely take it easy and rest - eat whatever you want aswell xx

  • Hi ladies,

    Can I join you please?

I saw a few swear words in the thread and I thought these are my people.

I was diagnosed last Thursday and just had a phone call from oncology to book me in for an appointment tomorrow. The nurse last week said they wanted to start me on chemo Asap.

Does anyone know if you can take someone with you to the oncology appointment? (I'm going to Cheltenham if that helps)

  • Hi Wave

    Welcome

I'm being treated at Cheltenham x

I was advised to take someone to my appointments with the oncologist. Treatments you have to do alone unfortunately.

Were you seen at Thirlstaine clinic?

  • Hi baroness L - Welcome to this chat Blush I don’t know about Cheltenham so I’ll let someone else answer. I took someone with me for my results but not to the oncologist - I had a huge list of questions though in case I forgot to ask something! I can see essjay52 has already answered you. Good luck tomorrow let us know how you get on xx

  • Hi Wave

I have steroids for 3 days and injections for 5 days.

Already drinking loads, just glad I've got a downstairs loo. Lol x
