Hello, I’m new to these groups.
I had lumpectomy Nov and just finished radiotherapy and have just started Anastrozole.
I think I’m feeling a bit lost now that there are fewer appointments. Time to process everything I guess.
Hi Mumma Wills, great news that you have finished all your treatment. I have my last radiotherapy session tomorrow and then I'll be finished too.
I thought that I might start to feel like you when I finish but after a conversation I had the other day with my BCN I think I will be able to forget about it. I asked my BCN how many of us who are cured of cancer (which you and I are) end up staying cancer free. Her reply was the vast majority of us do so knowing that I think after tomorrow I will be able to forget about it (at least till the next mammogram) and just go back to normal.
Hopefully after doing some processing you will be able to accept that you are cancer free and forget about it. Wishing you all the best x
Hi , glad to hear that you have completed your RT and are now cancer free. It is a very strange feeling and I felt exactly the same in June - expected to feel elated but burst into tears, reaction I suppose . However, now the restrictions to my life activities are down to Covid not the cancer. But the sun is still shining and if my garden is anything to go by spring is definitely on its way. We alll need time to process everything and we all do it in our own individual way. Sending you big hugs and wishing you well for the future. xxKwissy
