Hi I’ve just been diagnosed with breast cancer. It doesn’t feel real. I have a lumpectomy booked in for next week and the doctor expects me to have radiotherapy and hormone tablets if all goes well.
I feel a little better now I know the outcome of my biopsy - last week I was spiralling - worrying about everything. I have two children aged 2 and 7. I’m struggling to tell friends and family. Reading everyone’s posts is helping. I have my pre op Tomorrow so I expect it will start to feel more real.
Good luck with surgery tomorrow, really hope they get it all out with clear margins and no nodes involved. Whatever the outcome though breast cancer is really treatable these days so try to keep positive.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
