Hi
I have not long found out I have breast cancer (diagnosis last Thursday 18th Feb). I have a few appointments this week, one of which is the Oncologist to find out when my treatment starts. I'm due to have chemo first along with Herceptin & Perjeta as a targeted therapy which will be for 18 weeks and then will have surgery after. It's all happened so quickly, so whilst a bit of a shock/whirlwind of emotions it also shows how wonderful the NHS is as well to have been seen so soon after finding the lump.
Sending love to you all that are going through this too
Hi Pisces23 welcome to the forum and sorry that you have to find yourself here but you have come to the right place as everyone here knows exactly what and how you will be feeling right now so you can talk openly and honestly and there is no judgement here.
Im not surprised that you are feeling like its a whirlwind it does tend to be and yes you are absolutely spot on we are lucky in lots of ways that we have the NHS in this country and how quick things can move when they need to to get us seen and treated.
Please do keep in touch and have a look around the site as there are threads about chemo and herceptin etc so lots of information and support for you as and when you need it.
For now though just let that news sink in and have a good cry if you feel like it because that's allowed so be kind to yourself.
Sending some hugs for now.xxx
