Hi Cymrulady whoa there you are going nowhere and certainly not gona die on anybody.

The Lumpectomy they have done already seems like they didn't get wide enough margins and that's why they are needing to go back in again and I understand that that will be scarey for you.

Does your job allow for any paid sick leave or not?

Have they said what the next steps will be after surgery do they want to do Chemo/Radiotherapy etc or not got that far yet?  You cna discuss this with them about the Mastectomy but believe me if they thought that you needed a Mastectomy they would not be offering another Lumpectomy. Even with surgery and any further treatment there is no reason to expect anything other  than that you will go on to live a full and healthy life. It is doable.

I understand the money side of things and Im under no illusion as to how important that is and I wonder if you could maybe give the Macmillan Line a call and speak to one of their welfare and benefits advisors to see what if any help you would be eligible for if you needed to be off work longer then planned. 08088080000.xx

  • Thank you for your reply, im just all over the place. I really wasn't expecting another operation. I believe i will have chemo, radiotherapy and tablets.  Im not sure how long i wait before chemo starts after this next operation.

    Thanks
