Picc line.

I’m 6 weeks into having a picc line.  It’s started getting tender and sore around entry point.  Anyone else had that happen.

    Yes mention it to the nurses as they can change the type of plasters they put around the area and maybe apply Vaseline or a cream around the area. Last thing you want is for it to get infected. X

    Keep a very close eye to your PICC line dear as being immunocompromised at the same time enhances the chances of infection. Call your emergency chemotherapy helpline and explain  the situation. Don’t take it lightly my dear  I hope you stay well and safe.

    Thankyou for your advice.  Much appreciated.     They took a swab and have changed the plaster with a different glue.  I think it’s helping
