I’m sorry to hear that work are putting pressure on you to return. Don’t forget cancer counts as a disability for the Equality Act 2010 ( if you’re UK based) and so they need to make reasonable adjustments such as phased return/ reduced hours etc. Do you have a HR department you could speak to?
Sorry to hear you’re feeling under pressure. Are you currently signed of by your GP?
If you don’t feel physically or emotionally ready to return to work you should request that your GP extends your sick leave.
You can then notify your work place and set a date towards the end of this to discuss your progress, and a part time return, if you feel that would be beneficial.
