breast cancer newby, shocked, waiting for CT results next week
Hello, welcome to this wonderful group. You will find so much comfort and support here. It can be a real shock when you first find out this diagnosis, but hold onto the fact breast cancer is very treatable and you will fine through this. People will tell you to cry or stay strong, my advice is to do whatever you need to do, it is normal to feel angry and devastated, for me I just didn’t quite believe it. If you click on my you can see my journey so far. I hope your results come back soon as waiting is often the hardest part. When you get a treatment plan it’s a little easier.
Hi and welcome Xaviva, to the group you never wanted to join . But hopefully you will get lots of support here and no question is too silly to ask. We have all been where you are now and the waiting for results really is the worst part. Once you have been given a plan of action it all falls into place and you can take a few deep breathes and then take it all one step at a time."Taking it one step at a time" was the best advice I was given . Take a look at some of the themes in the "CHAT" section of this site - I particularly found the "Awake" thread very good and you will get a warm welcome there - just introduce yourself .There is usually someone there 24/7, some serious discussions and some silly enough to raise a much needed smile. I hope you get your results and plan very soon - sending hugs in the meantime. xx
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
