Hi, I am sort of new to this. I did join 4 years ago after breast cancer diagnosis. It was great to talk to others. 4 years on, I thought all was good & didn't really carry on with it. Unfortunately it came back this year & I find myself back here. I found this the most helpful cite 4 years ago & am joining again now. 4 years ago my breast cancer involved lump removal, lymph nodes removed, chemo& radiotherapy. It came back 4 years later, same breast during lockdown! Have had a mastectomy & chemo just finished.

  • Hi  and welcome back to the forum. So sorry you’ve found yourself back here but hopefully you’ll find it a great source of support again. I’ve only been here 2 years but there are folk here from way back so I imagine some you may remember from your first visit.

Hope you’re recovering well from surgery and chemo. My main passion is walking so I’m mainly to be found on the Walking back to Happiness thread.

Sending love and a big virtual hug, HFxx

  • Hi

So sorry to hear about your recurrance - as HappyFeet1 says, this site is still a great source of support. You'll notice a few changes in layout from 4 years ago but quite a few of us are still here from back then.

Well done on getting through surgery and chemo in such a strange year - now the healing starts again! We've a few long-running threads where you might find some familiar faces. Walking Back to Happiness is where we share photos and information about our walks - and other exercise - to motivate ourselves to keep active and fit. Awake - well, speaks for itself, really - it's where you can find some lighthearted chat and solace in the wee small hours or any other time. There's also Thought for the Day for a little inspiration.

Hope chemo was kind to you and you're recovering well

    R
