Hello, I'm new here.
In September, I found a lump in my breast and in November was told I had to.have a mastectomy. It was the most shocking and devastating news ever heard.
I've had the best support and care to date and been positive all the way. I have to, I'm alive praise God.
My query for now is will this affect my car insurance policy when I tell them?
Would like some advice.
Thank you.
Hi Miss Attraction welcome to the forum and I am so sorry to hear your news but also very pleased that you are being so positive about things thats good and will, carry you through whatever is in front of you.
You must tell your insurance company about the mastectomy and they will advise you about how long you should not drive for after the surgery. Most of the advice will be to only start when you feel content about the seat belt and are able to do an emergency stop when the belt pulls. This can vary from person to person but they will advise you.
Do let us know how you get on as your question is one that many people ask so it would be good to hear what they say for you..
Sending best wishes for now. xxx
