Hi I’m new on the site. My name’s Connie and I’m 73. I had a lumpectomy followed by further surgery to remove 28 lymph nodes - the cancer was in 7 of them.

I’ve had 3 chemotherapy sessions out of the 6 I need. Can anyone tell me how to get rid of the awful metallic taste in my mouth.

  • Hey....welcome! I had FecT....I found that jellies helped ((you can get those to put in fridge). I also like some yoghurts, frozen milk pops, chilled or frozen fruit pieces ( Tesco frozen aisle) I liked the porridge in a cup....just add hot water. Anything simple and tasty helped!

One of it is easy....I would suggest trying a couple of different things....your taste buds will come back....eventually!

    Good Luck!
