I have becker permanent expanders which have a silicone outer and a saline internal space which can be expanded. Had no problems with leakage but if I did the saline is absorbed by the body naturally. I wouldn't worry too much about it because cases are very rare.
I have pre-BC implants - I've had them for 7 years and had no problems with them. I have no idea if these are substantially different to the implants used in reconstructions, so hopefully someone who is post-surgery will be along soon :)
How are your implants now, if you don't mind me asking? I am currently trying to choose between implant and DIEP and trying to find out as much as I can from others' experiences.
