Hi Walv
I am sorry you have been diagnosed with HER2+ ER+ breast cancer. I understand it’s normal practice to start with chemo for this type of cancer. It allows your medical team to understand how your tumour is responding and might also allow for simpler surgery down the line. It’s good your MRI and lymph biopsy were both clear. It’s worrying but most people get a good outcome; treatments are very good.
It’s daunting to start treatment and I don’t think anyone would regard chemo as a pleasant experience, but it’s doable for most of us. One important thing is to stay hydrated before, during and after each treatment. I found it helped to keep a symptom diary so I knew what to expect day by day on subsequent cycles. Wishing you all the best.
