Morning all,

Just feeling a little apprehensive about my ct scan tomorrow for my radiotherapy set up tattoos. I have a normal tattoo so in my head I know it will be a breeze, at least it's not actually being done on my boob! lol. I have been told there will be three little dots. But still it's a nerve wracking thought. Anyone out there who has been through it and can give me a kick up the you know where and tell me to pull up my big girl pants?

thank you

  • I have no tattoos so I was concerned about this however it was a breeze. The 2 on the sides I didn't even feel however the one on the sternum did hurt a bit but as it's only one dot it's over quickly. You can hardly notice them and in fact when they had some students doing my radiotherapy they used a felt tip to make it more obvious as they were not used to looking for them yet.

Of everything that has happened to me, the tattoos were the least of my worries.

    You'll be absolutely fine.

  • Hi

I was upset about getting the tattoos too so I get how you’re feeling. I thought it was permanent reminder and had built it up in my head that they would look awful and looked into tattoo removal and all of that. In truth, until I read your post I’d forgotten all about them! They really are very tiny and didn’t hurt, just a little pin prick. I have one between my boobs and one on each of my sides, none of which are noticeable unless looking for them.

Hope all goes well for you tomorrow. x

  • eebee, thank you for the encouragement. I know they are tiny and I will forget they are there. Just about the discomfort I think. X

  • Thank you Hides, need the encouragement from people that know, lol. X
